Recently started working for a six lane house in an Elks Club. There is a half-full plastic bottle of what I think is lane oil but I am not sure. Feels like oil to the touch, but it is a colorless fluid. The label on the bottle is missing. There is a sticker on the top that refers to approved additives that comform with ABC spec TRS-3.

Anyone know if TRS-3 refers to lane oil? How do I say it's lane oil for sure?

If Its Half Full And You Dont Know What It Is I Would Save Yourself A Headache And Toss It.. Thats A Lot Cheaper Than Puttin A Foreign Subject Into Your Lane Machine And Causing Serious Issues

Small house, so no lane machine. Just using an applicator. All I'm trying to do is save them a few bucks.

2nd vote for tossing it.

What happens if you apply it to the lane and the finish starts bubbling.

What happens if someone from the past put silicone in the bottle? When you go to coat your lanes the next time you will have fisheyes everywhere.

Toss it and be safe.

3rd for toss it. If it was approved by the ABC then it has to be rather old anyway.

We are a small house, what is the most economical lane cleaner/conditioner and oil I can find. I also need old Brunswick rolled transparent score sheets.

Welcome to Bowl Tech Kelly,

Most high quality lane conditioners are pretty much priced the same. Unless you are strictly an open play recreational center, the type of oil you choose could hurt business.

Cleaners can vary in price and it depends on if you have a machine that applies it or if you are going to hand strip.

Indeed Ratchet. The biggest selling oil and cleaner over here. Don't think you can get it in the US though.
