  • DUO Ball detect

I need a ball detect for Duo scoring, I have tried contacting Computer Score but have not gotten any response. Can I use any photo electric eye as long as voltage and output are the same?

What are you trying to accomplish? What machines are you interfacing to?

That just ties into the machine correct? Computer score monitors machine movement to decide when to score so pretty much any system to get the machine moving is all you need. What system are you using now? There are several ways this can be done.

EX, the ball detects are used to tell the system if it needs to score after a cycle is started and the ball speed which ties into the time delay for scoring/cycling. It does depend on the machine type though.

Yes, you can use any appropriate photo sensor but the quality of them varies a great deal. Have you tried contacting John at Best Scoring?

Yeah my mind was fixed on machine triggering not the ball speed. Never lost one of these. It usually ended up being a wire got torn out when we did have problems. There isn't much to go wrong with these so be certain it's bad before looking to replace it.

I tried email but it comes back as invalid recipient, called and left message too. I will pick up a sensor locally. Thanks
