  • Steltronic moves into SSD technology

Hard Disk Drives Disappearing Act by Steltronic

Steltronic is moving to new solid state technologies in bowling computers.

With no moving parts, really fast performance, & cooler temperatures, new Solid State Drive (SSD) technology is arriving in Steltronic bowling computers. From the front desk and workstation PC’s to the Vision NEX Lane Computers, this new technology will take our hardware into the next level of superiority.

An SSD does functionally everything a traditional hard drive does, but data is instead stored with flash memory chips that retain bowling information even when there’s no power. These flash memory chips are not your traditional memory chips used in USB thumb drives, they are faster and more reliable.

While these will take the place of the traditional 2.5-inch & 3.5-inch HDD’s, the SSD has no moving parts, they run MUCH cooler, and run Super Fast which equates to faster boot times, and our Steltronic lane computers will move at lightning speed.
With much lower temperatures and no moving parts using the SDD versus the HDD, this can only help ensure a longer life for the entire Steltronic bowling computer systems.
There are many new SSD hardware devices to select from, and to make things even faster, Steltronic has elected to use the SSD that mounts directly onto the motherboard. There are no cables running to and from the new SSD, again making the Steltronic hardware much more reliable and super fast.
SSD drive technology in the Steltronic computers. Front desk, back office, and lane computers will have the newest-fastest-cooler no moving parts technology
