  • Phoenix c 8 pad machine.

Guys, I had my machine serviced today by Ace Mitchell. He did a great job on the machine, but after he left I noticed an issue and he wasn't sure what to make of it. The drive wheel on the 7 pin side of the machine as it travels down the lane, is apparently picking up oil and leaving a very noticeable streak ALL the way down the pattern. It's the exact width of the tire and on the correct boards, so I don't know what else it could be.The right side is fine, only the left. Any suggestions?

Swap wheels and see if the problem moves.
    I'm going fishing and camping!

Where is your cleaner pump in that machine?
Television is called a medium because it is neither rare or well done.

Run the machine on strip only see if mark is still there. If it is then your squeegee is not down enough or the drive wheel is up to high

Sorry about the delayed reply. It seems a it just needed a little more tension on the wicks for that side. Seems to be working ok, but my house pattern in general is totally different since the servicing..I'm struggling in that regard.

What do you mean they "serviced" your machine. Did you take it in, or do they come do it, and how much do they do? What is the cost? I have thought about having an overhaul done on mine.

Swapped out 4:1 assembly today due to oil leak. Was surprised by the amount of sediment in the box. Looked and felt like gritty mud.
