  • Got a gremlin we can’t figure out

Have 82-70’s, Vector scoring, MP chassis. I part time at the place and am not the HM, just trying to help solve this issue.

Lane 1 will sporadically cycle the pinspotter when no ball is thrown, it’s on usually on the first ball, and when it does it scores a miss. Reflector and beam are fine, shock and associated parts have pretty much been replaced. We think it’s in the scoring somehow, but can’t figure out what’s causing the issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the sweep gearbox sliding at all?

I would start by finding out what is causing the machine the cycle. Can you disconnect the ball trigger, and use the cushion start switch to eliminate this item? Or perhaps swap out the ball trigger with the lane beside it?

I’ll point this out to the HM, thanks for the advice.
