Guys:

Can you tell me what you are using to re-cover your SBE's? I use the old style white gum rubber rod cover from Brunswick but its not lasting more than a couple of years. Its time to re-cover my SBE's and want something that will last longer. I'm wondering if I should try the Brunswick High Performance gray rod covers. The gray works well everywhere else I use it. Any thoughts?

I use the blue covers from Quality. The left over from covering the rods is good.

The grey cover is stated to be the bomb...I would go with it.

Though you may want to revise the way you mount the SBE as it can really get beat on in the "factory" position. Let me know if you are interested in an alternative mounting.

They're still there. Search back a little over a year and use "eliminator" as a keyword.

I think this the one you are thinking of Larry...it contains pictures and a full explanation of why the SBE works better when moved.
