  • Double Strike

    Hello,

Need alittle help... Have Boss scoring not sure of software or anything.. but on lanes 21 & 22 it gives a double strike. This happens with it in open or league play, one bowler or six. We have changed out the CPU and MI box with another lane and the problem has stayed on 21&22. I have adjusted the micro switches, checked for bad wires all seem fine. Other than the double Strike it scores perfect. Any help would be great on this....

Does it happen on both lanes at the same time?

The BT board caused it to score a X twice? Very strange- I wonder how that happens.

The issue could have been the machine type switch. It makes all the difference with timing of scoring on a machine with only a sweep switch vs the switch cluster. The machine type switch is on the BT board, next to the lane numbers and server type..

You may be able to resurrect the functionality of that board by spinning the switches

                  Forgot to mention that.
Sometimes it's on one lane where in league play it may be reported by bowlers to be both lanes, but a relatively common issue is a deck jam cable tugging on the switch during cycle, momentarily breaking the 24 volts that keeps the machine on. I've seen is so quick, you hardly notice, but the scoring notices and gives a double score. Never seen on both lanes of a pair though. Yes I said never - I'VE never........

                  *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
