Issues with terminal keyboards
So I think I have Accuscore +, atleast that is what the guy fixing our machines told me (I included pictures of the terminal and what I think I have picked up as the CWC). My issue is with the keyboards. When I plug in the terminal I get the right lane light and the league light...on both keyboards...if I push any button other then those that are on, they instantly turn off...It is this way on every lane (1-10). Can anyone help me troubleshoot this. I have an electrical background, but almost no experience on these systems, so I won't completely know all the terms. My other issue is that one of our new employees, when they were cleaning the back room, through away the red amf binder with all the schematics and paperwork...does anyone know where I can get a pdf of the binder?

I think, then, you are probably looking at curtain wall chassis (gold box over the machines) issues. Perhaps with the battery back-up on the motherboard, or power supplies - preventing a full boot. Age will deterioriate the battery whether or not it's plugged in. And old power supplies will fail, preventing a chassis boot that recognizes the bowler terminal board.
BUT - as mentioned, if you have 2 keyboards, the labels on the EPROM card (with the handle and LEDs) need to say SLB..

Ok so all the EPROM's have a bunch of stickers that have SLB on them, and have the Green Run light blinking, with the Red +5v power light on constantly, and the top communication light is never on...It is this way for 4 of the 5 cwc's...they look to be wired in sequence from 10 to 1, with 1 having the pigtail...Lane 7 and 8 don't have any lights on the cwc and the breakers are not popped either...

The top light blinks when each chassis communicates with the main computer up front. It's either a desktop computer in the office, or one with the same chassis that is on the back wall mounted under the front desk. Maybe the front computer isn't even there?
No lights is probably a power supply. I'd change them all as well as the battery on the motherboard.
WB8YJF can fix them. Do a search for him and send him a PM..

Home run box may not be plugged in or the cables may not be attached to it? Granted the computer being gone would definitely be an issue...But if it is there and the software is running...that would be the next thing to check.

One place that you can start with what you have is to remove the CWC from 7/8 and replace it with the one from 1/2 also swap the EPROMS. Take your pigtail from 1/2 and plug that into 9/10 and "cold start" push the reset on the side of the CWC and see if the COMM light starts flickering. If it does then you DO have communication to the front for sure. One bad chassis can disrupt all communication to the rest but not always.
Your keyboard problem is a different issue alltogether.70's MP/PBL/LBS,Q-Score

So the computer was destroyed when it sat empty for years...I do have a big blue box that i found with a bunch of boards in it, and at the front desk there is only 2 plugs...I would like to get them working in stand alone atleast, so we dont have to keep having people paper score...So it may be the the back up battery power supply in the CWC? When I plug in the terminal at the front of the lanes the right lane light and the league lights come on, if I hit any other button other then those two the lights both go off...Is there a way to check the back up power supply? And where exactly is it located?

I suspect you have the desktop looking system (called an Advantage system) since you also have an LIU. Can you post a photo of the front desk system? Deb is the 'Advantage Queen' here, she can breath life back into a broken system or if that's not feasible, she can build you a new system. Either way, the front desk system shouldn't be the cause of the keyboard problem. It would be best to focus on one pair at a time at this point just to make sure you don't have multiple problems.
This is the bowler terminal board which connects to a keypad:
There are two of these located inside of the bowler terminal pedistal - one for each keypad. At this point, it might be a good idea to focus on - for example - lanes 1 & 2 by taking these boards out of the other pedistals and trying them in 1 & 2. to make sure you have good boards, however, a bad CWC could be the problem as well. You can try swapping these as well. You may have a totally messed up system due to a power surge or lightning strike. I'm sending you a PM - glad to help you out to try to figure out just what is going on. I'm sure I left some things out in this post, but this will give you a starting point.
BTW, if you do get to the point where the keypad doesn't 'lock up' when you push a key, here is a list of standalone commands you can use to bring up the screens, etc.

Agree with Jon. Start on 1-2. Unplug the home run cable and see if you can at least get that pair to run stand alone. I don't think anyone mentioned this...The eprom card has 2 rotary switches on it. These switches identify lane # to scoring. Set them to 01 for the first pair. 03 for second pair and so on down the line. I believe you must reset the CWC after changing eprom assignment.
Agree with Keeth too.Go Pirates

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

Solderless relay conversion
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
