Accuscore XL and 82-70 pinsetters. Single board chassis with scoring option.
Odd lane doesn't score correctly. Has run fine for quite some time. Will score a strike perfectly every time. Seems to most often add a 6 or 9 pin. Usually only on second ball but I've seen it on first ball as well.
Things I've swapped:
Sweep switch
Machine interface unit
Camera
Chassis
Scoring board in chassis
PC
Aligned camera
Checked sweep height
Checked for obstruction/tears in curtain.
Help?
My bowlers are getting tired of me telling them to throw more strikes...
You checked the curtain for obstructions or tears but did you look for glares or maybe a light in the back? It's adding a pin so there's a chance its seeing a shiny spot or a light coming thru back in that corner. Kneel down and look from the camera's perspective. Make sure you have all lights on that would normally be on during league.
Failed safety course.Question #1:In case of fire what steps do you take? Apparently 'Friggin long ones!" is the wrong answer.
Might also me simply a bad connection. The start signal gets its voltage from the BE control box - the sweep/table power circuit. So check the connections there for a loose terminal. I might even go so far as replacing the faston terminals on both the start switch on the sweep and the BE control box wires.
I'll always consider machine wiring when the issue is on one of the lanes of the pair.
You can compare the timing for each lane of the pair by watching the LEDs on the front of the camera when each sweep goes down. If there are timing issues, it should be apparent when the LED comes on for lane. That is the instant the camera counts.

This post is not an unpaid promotion of my business.
Got it fixed, finally. Called a neighbor lanes with same scoring system. He said to try aligning the camera with the targets elevated about 1/2 inch. Did that and problem disappeared. Thanks for the input guys!
Good morning, I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
Working...
