  • Scoring for one lane?

Is there a scoring system that can be set up for one lane? Possibly piece together a system from used parts? We have a single lane in our home. Brunswick Anvillane, above ground return and a Jetback pinsetter. Any help would be much appreciated. I was thinking about installing a standard flat screen monitor to the ceiling powered by a desktop computer. Find a generic bowling score keeping software and keep track of the scores manually with a keyboard and mouse. If there is an actual bowling system I can piece together, that would be preferred.

    Re: Scoring for one lane?

Almost all systems have the option built into them, most are configured to use the single lane function by setting the lane assignment number to the even lane number, instead of the odd lane number for a pair of lanes.

So for a single lane number, you would set the Lane ID # to 2, for a pair of lanes you would set the Lane ID # to 1. Or, vice versa......

Thank you for the information. Is there a preferred system that would work for this? What components would I need? If a center was upgrading their scoring system, I would doubt they would want to just sell enough components for one lane so I have a feeling I am going to have to piece this together.

There's some companies that do this all the time, they buy up old systems for either reinstallation or just for the parts to resell.

I would lean towards a Brunswick AS-80 or AS-90 system(just because I'm a Brunswick kind of guy) and because these systems are at the age where they are getting out of date.
