  • Frameworx problem

Hope this is the right thread, so if not feel free to move it. Anyway, we are having some scoring issues with our Frameworx scoring on 2 separate lanes. On lane 22 (or 23, can't remember now) if you were to throw the ball in the gutter it says that you left an unusual spare and it shows the 8 and 9 pin as gone. Those 2 pins every time. I've checked the camera down lane and it seems legit as I checked a couple others just to make sure. I also took a look at the camera from the back to make sure the boxes are where they should be and they are. I'm more familiar with Twelve Strike so this has me and the HM at a loss. As far as the other lane (16), it is random from what I've been told as to what pins are shown as missing. What would cause these issues? Only thing I can think of is maybe something on the pit curtain. I know I haven't done anything with it yet as far as cleaning, not sure if the HM has or not. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You may need to do a camera timing adjustment.

But first check the pin light if the white back shield is dirty clean it.
This will give the camera more light and help it see the back row of pins.

What bulbs are you using cool whites or daylights?
I've found daylight bulbs work much better with this system.

To check your camera timing cycle the machine to approx. 44deg first ball where the deck is abought 6" above the pins and check the cam on the switch cluster on the detector.
At this point the first nub on the cam should be closing the 44/144 sw

If it's not you can adjust it by loosing the 1/4in screw and turning the cam.
The idea is to get the switch to close a little sooner so the deck doesn't block the camera view of the back row of pins.

    Hope this helps.

Be careful, if you adjust the take data switch to early, the rakeboard maybe in the way (too high) at the critical moment of reading pin fall. If you do a calibration of the pins, and get a cal pin successful, and install new light bulb, that may fix your issue. I set all the lanes @ 16 3/4", and get success. Pay attention to the camera tester, as this tool is your friend, as it tells you everything you need to isolate problem. Best of luck!

I found that if you use the scanner tester and bring up the "live image", unplug motor, turn on pinsetter then hand crank gear box forward you can dial in the adjustment pretty simply. Watch screen on tester and continue turn g. box forward till rake board reaches just under the calibration boxes. Once there stop turning g. box and set your take data switch to close by loosening the 1/4" screw and turning cam till it closes 44 degree switch, then tightening screw. This can also be done with the newer v.p.s. style camera through the console, it just takes a little longer to get through the process by yourself. If you have some help it makes it easier/quicker.

Thank you. It worked well for me. that is until we changed over to Qubica scoring. Now I don't make take data adj's. :-)

or look for a broken wire on the 44 switch or the switch could have went to hell. use a meter on ohms to check the switch..

won't be able to look into this matter until Friday. the HM had his wisdom teeth yanked last Friday and has dry sockets--OUCH! he's more familiar with stuff than I, so I'll wait till he's back to show him these suggestions and go from there.
