Frameworx Version 6.3

Can someone tell me what the difference between Frameworx version 5.6 and 6.3 is ? We have command network running Frameworx 5.6 and all the new drive that Brunswick sent us are version 6.3. I was just curious if anyone knew what the difference was? Thanks for your help.

As far as I know, the 6.3 version is "Universal" and will work with Command network and/or Vector Plus. When we upgraded to Vector Plus, the 6.3 version was installed. I was told the old version would not work with Vector Plus.

I would not assume that any version in universal, I'm not sure about this version but different versions of software can cause problems like if transfer lanes and lose scores, had this happen at one center where a pair of lanes would act up, didn't seem to bad till it happened during league half way into last game and all scores were lost. Anytime you get new hard drives you should place them in lane 1 and do the install feature to load your software anyway.

I spoke with Brunswick and the gentleman said that the 6.3 version was for vector and 5.6 was for command network, so I will do the install command to all of them. I am not sure why they got more hard drives from Brunswick, I have been swapping out the hard drives with compact flash drives and they are working just fine. No moving parts and they are cheap to build.

Universal or not, of course you want the same version software on all of your scorers! And yes, I agree. The compact flash drives are great. I equipped the entire house with them around five years ago and have only lost one card in that time.
