  • Frameworks Quit Scoring

I had a pair that quit scoring last week and to get it to score again I powered down the CCD box and it worked. Since then there was about 20 games bowled no problems. Well Tuesday it quit in the first game of league and I wasn't here. So the next day I see my note, I turn on the pair it works. I bowled 5 games and had about 10 games of open bowling, no problems. Last night It quits again during open bowling and this morning I turn it on and it works fine. I just want to make sure I am not Missing something before i change the CCD board out. Thank You.

When I have a problem like yours, I bite the bullet and move the CCD processor and move the camera to different pairs. That will give you a faster result, as it could be the cables. So when the problem shows up somewhere, you should be pretty much sure you have narrowed it down.

I would check your ball detects. Possible you are getting a marginal signal, also check your take data switches. Do you have a scanner tester, or do you run your adjustments through diagnostics on the front console?

I agree 99% of the time when i have this problem it's the ball detect sticking closed.
Remember the ball detect is nothing more then a switch that closes and opens as a ball passes in front of it, If it sticks closed
the CCD won't get a signal and will not score.
Go with what works and not what the book says.

          It was the CCD board.

              *sigh* Hello friends..
