I have one pair that only the even lane cycles by itself at random times.

    1. It does not score so not the ball detect
    2. It is an end lane so not getting signal from another lane.
    3. It only happens during league play

    Things that have been done

    1. adjusted ball detect(just to make sure)
    2. swapped lane interface box
    3. changed omega-tec board(before realizing that it is only during league play)

My thinking is that this has got to be in the control tower at the front desk. I have no idea where to begin to look or if it could be something else. I don't think it could be in the chassis because it would not care if ti was league or open play.
Sometimes we have to do stuff to get by....Just go back and do it right when the "by" has passed!!

How often? I have random resets where one lane cycles when it is not suppose to(no score) and the other just sits there and you have to correct the score,( like the picked spare) and after 6-8 seconds it will cycle and all is good.(one pair per month random) This is getting better as I put all the grounding dist. rollers on and I'm putting all the grounding straps back on the bounce plates. The other one I found was in the eprom chips on the CPU in the lower console. (labeled 0,1,2,3,) Power them down and put the CPU on one pair and the chips on others and hopefully it will follow.

10-15 times for 4 man league. I have never had to correct a score.

What do you mean here? I know about the grounding straps for the bounce board but not this.

So it was like the reset was pushed on the keyboard? Interesting.

But did it only do it during league play or did it not matter what type of play was on the lane?

Just talked to the night guys and it never reset at all tonight. This is the first time it did not do it during league for a while.

On the dist. opposite the 4 white rollers you can get a metal roller for the lower one and that will ground the carriage. Did you do anything like a reboot on that pair? I've heard that the ball detect wires can rub through and ground out but that was on a bruns. that has more vibration. (don't know if that would score or not) Do you Know the major reboot for the console?

No i did not do anything to it. I have metal rollers on the opposite side of all of mine. I was wondering why the difference. The only reboots I know are to unplug the interface box on the odd machine and the reset button on the front console. If there is something else I would love to know what it is. I would think that if the wires wore through it would score just like the beam being tripped. Yes that does happen on Brunswicks a lot if your not careful.

Scary thought. We are the only two people who list Mendes scoring and are still active. There are only 12 total. Hopefully there are more that just did not list their scoring system.

Turn the pair on, then go in the lower console on the CPU, the far right longest line of dip swithes. Flip the top one left I think (opposite where it is) and then push the reset button in the center. This will make the uppers go funky and everything will go off. Move the dip switch back to the original position. Done. If your front counter would go down you may need this reboot to turn off lanes that are in stand alone. Do you know how to turn the scorers on form the console?
