  • BesX, A2's, with F boxes

Having fairly often no cycle on one lane. Cycles every time on reset button.

My first thought was time delay module but doesn't Qubica bypass that?

    F Box?

The FBox just provides a set of relay contacts to cycle the lanes. Many times, in an effort to save money, the tdm board was left in place and the tdm function was not used. When the scoring controls the delay, then the contacts are wired parallel to the reset buttons. This cycles the machine as soon as the relay is closed. So after the scoring provides the proper delay, the relay is energized and the machine cycles without any of the time delay functions of the tdm board.

You may have a relay going bad in the FBox or you may have a loose wire. It could also be an LCOM issue. There should be an LED inside the FBox that will light each time the cycle relay is activated. I don't remember which LED it is. If the LED lights every time then it's less likely an LCOM issue. You should be able to see or maybe hear the relay inside the FBox click each time the LED flashes.

If the LED doesn't light up, check software next. Do an upload to lanes and copy pinsetter parameters from a working lane.

I lied, it 's acting up on reset button also.

I have a relay coming to replace the TDM. We'll see what happens.

Just to close this out it wasn't a scoring system issue. Relay in the time delay module soiled the linen.
