  • Upon fouling, trips both machines!

82 90 XL's and conqueror scoring. On lanes 15 and 16 some weird things are happening.. 1. When you turn the foul lights on it cycles the machines, and 2... When someone fouls on either lane, it automaticaly resets both lanes, and of course bam.. there goes the sweep getting a beating..

Any ideas where to start would be a help.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Are your ball triggers still connected?

Are you talking about the triggers that cycle the lanes? If you are I dont see how the machine would cycle at all if they were not hooked up. The machines function fine until someone fouls. If you are not talking about that, I appologize and please be more specific for this rookie!!! LOL.. However, I am getting pretty good at changing cams out, as we have half the house done now!

How long have you had this setup - with Qubica and 90XLs? Could be they have the machine interface wires wrong. The foul and cycle are hooked into the front end box, and one wire from foul common for each lane can be on cycle wire common, which is ground. Which would still cycle with scoring.

What I'm asking about is the little black ball detector that usually is mounted under the downsweep. The way the pinspotter cycles without this connected, is by the sensors at the camera through the scoring interface box (6 box or f box) then down to the front end box (like Ted mentioned). You shouldn't need the original black box ball detect if this is the case. If they are still connected, there is a chance they are not getting enough power and when a foul happens, the current drops down low enough for the original ball detect to actually cycle the machine. If the original ball dtects aren't still hooked up, then I'm not sure what is happening.

I've had this happen to me also. 8290xl with Boss scoring. Foul on one lane and both cycle. What I found was the ball detect was misaligned on one of the lanes (solid red LED ). Readjusted the dall detect to get the best possible alignment on both sides and that took care of the problem. Good luck.

It was the Ball Detectors, thanks Billy and everyone for the help.. I guess someone felt like that plug should be plugged back in on that pair for whatever reason! LOL..
