  • sometimes gives a strike with standing pins???

I have one lane that sometimes gives a strike even if there are standing pins....detector rod is good the pinsetter functions properly .... camera has been auto adjusted and sees all pins....only maybe once per game it will score a strike...any ideas as to what causes this ???

Have you checked the deck pads? Especially if you have the thick foam ones.
Sometimes we have to do stuff to get by....Just go back and do it right when the "by" has passed!!

My bad. I know nothing about Qubica scoring so I am out.

Could be the camera is seeing the rake/deck. The instant this happens (you have to do it right away before they throw another ball and the camera takes another picture), go upfront in setup/technical setup/pinsetter and camera- camera for that lane and click the LAST button, this will show what the camera saw the last time it took a picture and if you see the deck/rake blocking the pins from the camera, then that is probably the issue.

2nd what TJ said. Also a silly billy thought, your camera could be readjusting itself if you didn't tape the adjustment knobs in place. 'Course I'm pretty sure the new cameras don't have the knobs, but I'm sure somebody will be able to answer that.
When you know what to do, everything is easy.

The newer cameras (Q-Vision) don't have the knobs but I believe the older ones like the T-Vision and M-Vision do.

More than likely the camera is seeing the rake from it coming down slow. The way to be sure is as suggested above...do a "last" image when the error occurs.

A problem I have seen is that the camera looks at the pins at the top of the pin. If the pin gets moved a couple inches by another pin hitting it will move it out of view of the cameras site.

Since this is a split view camera, may I ask if you have tried replacing the camera with a known working? The reason I ask is that there might be a failing in the camera, or the controller board due to vibration. Or, just as a troubleshoot, can you change the view of the camera from say odd to even, to even to odd?
