3QT Swap Question
So I had this scoring issue (which turned out to be something else) but in the process of finding it I came across something.... maybe I did it wrong. So let's say its lanes 1- 4 and I swap the 3QTs between them. Now when they boot up they are online but still have the same ip address, like 01 for 1&2 02 for 3&4 and after the swap it turned into 02 for 1&2 etc which caused 1&2 to turn on when I opened 3&4. I went into replace lane control box to assign these with the serial number etc but it would not let me saying all the lane control boxes were fine. I ended up swapping them back and all is fine but I guess my question is if I have to swap 3QTs in the future what is the proper procedure to get these running correctly? How do I make it re assign the ip address eventhough it says they are all fine? I probably did something wrong but im not sure what. I know and have replaced them before with one that has not been used and it let's me but it wouldn't when I swapped these two to test.Tags: None

They are the same mac numbers, so swapping them is not replacing one. They are still recognized on the network. You'll have to assign them different lane numbers in 'lane control box replacement'..

Tablejam. On the 3QT box by the power plug is the serial number for the box. This is unique for that box. It also will show you that on the initial boot screen (S/N). The last 3 numbers of it are used for the ID process within Qubica. On the main Qubica screen, going into Setup -> Technical Setup -> Lane Control Box Replacement. A box will then pop up asking you to select the lane you are changing the box on, and also asking for the serial number of the 3QT being fitted. Confirm this and the system will then lock up briefly while the change is made. A message will tell you when it is complete. I normally then use to do an erase and upload afterwards.
It is a similar principle to the EPROM cards in the Accuscore CWC where you had to assign the lane number on the switches.

If you go to lane setup...you will be able to change the serial number for that pair. Change it to something that you know is not out there...like 1111 or 2222. Do this on both pair. (Use different numbers for each) Once this is done, then you can install the boxes where you want them. I have had to do this when we do not have a spare to work with.
Hope this helps...TSM & TSM Training Development

When you bring up the page it should be right in the middle of the page...closer to the top. Here is an image from my center.
Let me know if this helps...I think it should.TSM & TSM Training Development

I think I know where that is but to get to that screen, if I remember right, everybody else has to be off Conqueror?
So if I swapped between pairs 1/2 and 3/4 for example, I would go back after they booted up and get to this screen for 1/2 and change the serial, then do 3/4... correct?

You disconnect the 3QT's, change the serial numbers in lane setup to non-existing serial numbers, change the 3QT's around and turn them on. Turn on one of them and do the box replacement procedure. It will find a serial number that it does not know and all you need to do is tell the system what pair has that new serial number. You will need to upload programs and then move to the next 3QT.
Hope that helps...TSM & TSM Training Development

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
