  • Error #200 at boot up

Help! what would cause "Test TV error#200" during boot up?
Had need to disconnect T Vision camera unit and this error came up after re-connecting and re-booting. Have tried a known working unit with same result and also skipping boot error and uploading to lanes to no avail. Any suggestions gratefully received as I now have 2 lanes out with the weekend looming. Thank you

A straight error 200 code - LCOM communication failure: the VDB is not able to communicate properly with theTVision board. Wiring problem or defection of one of the LCOM devices.
If there was only one wire connected at the t-vision board, there has to be another connection under the capping somewhere where they all hook together, maybe it got pulled apart. (if you had two lcomm wires connected at the tvision board, I would start with the wire that runs up to the interface box on the wall.

Marty thanks for the reply. When you say one wire I assume you mean 1x4way which is what I have. This I assume runs to the small interface box which (if memory serves as I am now at home) has two or three other similar comm wires to it and has an LED indicator on it. Little or no chance of the wires getting separated as there is plenty of slack on it and I had to move the wiring very little. Could problem be in the VDB?

When you disconnected the camera did you unplug the VDB

If you did by chance play with the wiring with the power still ON, this might help you -

In order to understand which is the problem you should know that the L-COM power isprotected by an AUTO-FUSE located inside the VDB.A short circuit to the power wires causes the ‘blowing’ of this AUTO-FUSE and the power onthe L-COM goes off.In order to understand if this is the problem you have to unplug the JP3 connection from theVDB and wait for 20 seconds to let the AUTO-FUSE reset thus restoring the L-COM power.

Sorry for the long delay in replying - internet down!. I had a 'blond moment' and had not powered down . With the telephone aid of DJC bowling and switching bits and swapping bits deduced I'd managed to 'blow' the camera board and the F box board - expensive lesson learnt
