  • Odd lanes cycles but won't score

82-70 XLI upgrades, Black Single Chassis, 3QTs, Q Vision Camera's, Conqueror Pro.
Odd lane cycles but will not score. Rebooted with memory wipe. swapped Q Vision board & block camera lense. Swapped 3 QT and black chassis. Swapped ball detector (mine are separate from Camera) Tested Keyboard, all letters work. Put on hold for Thanksgiving break with permission lol. Plan tomorrow is too copy pinsetter parameters from working machine, swap whole camera assembly and keyboard.. and then call tech support because I'm out of ideas, any thoughts on anything else I should check would be appreciated

If you enter a 1st ball score by hand...put pinspotter on 2nd ball and then throw a ball...does it score?

No it didn't because I learned today that even if the sensors on the camera are only used for ball speed if one of them stops working the machine will cycle but not score. Weird but very useful thing to know.

Ours will still score...just won't display ball speed. Interesting.

Did someone tell you this or is that what you have actually found out ? I am with Steve on this, one ball detector out of alignment should just cause the ball speed to disappear but the scoring should function fine with just one (it may cause the cycle time to be extended though)

I see no mention of it being verified that all of the ball detectors work properly.

That's exactly what it was Tablejam. The detector wasn't working at all, replaced it, problem fixed. Threw me for a loop because we have seperate detectors to trigger the machines

                MP Chassis Tester

                Good morning,
I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches
I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...

                *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

                Turret clutch rebuild

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

                Thanks...

Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
