Has any one here upgraded a Bowlland lite system? I guess we are looking into it and my biggest question is I was told another center did this 2 years ago and the upgrade was from VDB93's with no hard drives to VDB99's with hard drives. They are still installing VDB's ? I thought it was VDB then RDb and 3QT on the upgrade scale. VDB99's still require the convert boxes for LCD monitors? Also was there any changing out of the other equipment, cameras - tvision boards - six boxes.
I knew about that Billy. But for now I guess what they want to do it keep the VDB system we have (a mix of 93's,96's and a 99) - update/upgrade the front desk and back office stuff to Conqueor Pro and replace the pedistals with new "fly" keyboards.
Not sure if doing this will result in anything the bowlers will actually see (we already have LCD screens) but we are currently still running version 2.0.5 at the desk. Billy?? what will this result in ? I know one thing they were looking for was the recap sheet at the end of the night on the overheads but I was told that only worked if you had hard drives on the VDB''s.

Ya the guys are coming in tuesday sometime. I am just looking for various options on "directions of travel" with this one project. Although I think he would like to go full blown upgrade, not sure if its an option for a year or two. Just dont want to spend money on something now that would end up getting replaced a little bit later down the road. (like keyboards, since there seems to be VDB AND RDB AND 3QT system based keyboards, if I read the spare parts pages correctly)

What I need/want to know is - are the "fly" style keyboard pedistals available for a VDB based system ? We were told no but I do see them listed on the spare parts page - part #612-325-101
Edit - I am finding out they are if you know the correct numbers.

I dont believe it is Steve - now they have something called 4HD running them - we were told they dont sell the 3QT's any more.
But since we didnt have 3Qt's to start with, I am not totaly sure.
Yep, dont have to change that stuff. It will work fine. Given the price we were given for an upgrade, I dont think I would want to see a price for a new install these days.
