  • mis-scoring in glow bowling

We have a pair of lanes that are fine in normal bowling light but when we switch to glow bowling on friday nights all hell breaks loose! The lanes scores 9s as strikes, strikes as 9s and from the information fed back from front desk peeps its never the same pin.

Now adjusting the intergration time hasnt worked. All the peaks are relativley spot on.

Would anyone be able to suggest if this is part related or settings related?

    Cheers guys. Martin

When you use the multiple lanes icon, and change to glow bowling, the camera should change it's electronic apeture and allow for the darker pins. Have you tried the pin settings with the deck black lights on that pair - and in the dark?
I suspect the misscoring will be on the back row of pins. Are you using the AMF dual pinspotter fixtures? They have IR emitters and should score with NO pit lights when they are on. You can also change the BLB bulb to the bottom position, change the power leads for the ballasts, if it's not already there.

You can plug in a night vision security camera ($30) lay it in front of the scoring camera, and it will score with no pit lights. It can be powered with the SCIBA cable.

The new PinCam camera has the ability to score under any lighting conditions, plus it calibrates itself after each ball rolled. Check out this video where the new PinCam was scoring perfectly with this light show.
