  • Steltronic or Qubica BES??

    Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to Bowltech and in fact this is my very first post. Anyways, I have just purchased a new center and am looking to upgrade the scoring system. I currently have Brunswick 2000 in there and am looking to install either the Qubica BES or Steltronic system. I really like the graphics of the Qubica, but would like to hear from some of the users in the world. Can anyone tell me the pros/cons of each? Thank you so very much!!

    Hello,

As I am an employee of Steltronic for the past 18 years, my opinion would be very biased, so my suggestion is to call around and get the opinions of the bowling centers who have Qubica and Steltronic scoring systems. I can say that Steltronic is still the only company offering FREE technical support, whereas the other guys charge for each incident. Steltronic is also the only company that offers free software updates for the life of your system, so you are never outdated.

in the past i have had the pleasure of working with both qubica and steltronics. just my 2 cents but i would go with steltronic. the folks were great to work with and really would recommend them to anyone. like jim said, updates for life and free tech support, you can not beat that.
        watch out, they're everywhere!

I own two bowling centers, one with Steltronic and one with Qubica. I inherited the scoring at both. The tech support from Ty @ Steltronic is great, however, Qubica is a much better system, easier to use and easier to get the data that I want out of it.

I'll agree with that. The reports in Steltronic leave a ton to be desired. Daily, monthly reports, and breakdown of daily Z reports falls a little short of the full tracking I wanted. Being able to pull yesterday's transaction report and follow a cashier on recorded camera ring by ring throughout their shift is something I needed and Steltronic could not do. This may be something they are working on.

When I arrived at GBoF, they were not using the system to it's fullest potential. Nobody knew anything about the system other than turn lanes on and off and sending leagues, and they were not pulling Z reports at all!!! They are still (when I left) not using the system to it's fullest.

            *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
