As long as machine is adjusted correctly, it leaves them squeaky clean.

Prior house, every time lane machine ran, after 4 to 6 lanes, proceeded to wipe pindecks, checking for oil or grease drips, hanging deck allens or other snapped parts, wipe flat gutters for clean, feeling for sand or rock embedments, overall observations. One time found deck stabilizer hanging, replaced before league. Usually plenty of time to catch lane machine for next group of lanes. Time for inspection. Besides, cleaning the approaches and ball returns, how's it look for the lane op to stand with their phone?

once a week I clean the tongs and the pin deck by hand

If you have a fancy over priced lane conditioning machine that cleans and conditions the playing surface with every usage, that's all you need.

That being said, the pindeck should be, at the very least, inspected on a weekly basis. Even more important if you haven't succumbed to a plastic playing surface.
What is commonly overlooked with todays lane machines is the flat gutters and kickbacks. These need to be cleaned on a weekly basis.

Not always. Sometimes these Lane Machines won't make it close enough over the tail plank of the pin deck & leave you a nice covert streak of slippery gray waste which can wreak you havok as far as OORs & wet, slippery pins. When the lane distance on the machine is set properly it's no problem though.

I last scrubbed our flat gutters 2 years ago. If it were up to ne I'd just replace all of them & make sure to keep up on them. They were the worst I'd ever seen at the time I cleaned them. I'm sure nobody even bothered to tend to them after they were installed. Disgusting & strenuous getting them even somewhat appropriately clean.
