We are about to order 14 lanes of automatic bumpers for our center. Having used Qubica before we are looking at their new system Qbump-XS.
Do any of you guys have this new Qbump installed and if so is it any good? I ask this as there is none of this stuff in Australia yet and we can not even see a demo of it.
Steve,
did you do the installation yourself? If so, was it very difficult or time consuming? No one has it in Australia as yet and it will be left to us to work it out. Even the Aussie distributor can't assist here. How do the plastic struts hold up? And have you had to do any repairs, and if so how easy were they to do? We will be running with the computer automated version.
Qubica sent a guy here from Naples, FL who works for them full time to install them. I don't remember his name. I watched him install them and would NOT recommend them being installed by just anyone. This guy mentioned that all he does typically is go to centers to fix the bumpers after they had the system incorrectly installed by others or did it themselves.
I think they now changed the system so the whole bumper doesn't raise and it's just a rail so it might go in easier.
As far as reliability; despite their heavy use we have had ZERO problems with the system so far. Nothing has broken or need any adjustment or attention. ::knocking on wood::
[edit]Forgot to mention that we have the computer automated system too, so they go up and down for those who need them and those who don't.[/edit]
Can somebody give an explaniton how pins 2, 3, 6 are supposed to be connected. I had a shortcircuit there for the drive motor connection because of water leakage.
I have a distributor that is pulling the belt hard to the left in the nine pin position (and possibly 6 pin), but seems fine in the other spots. As you can see the residue and...
I have several Pin Elevators that I believe to be out of round on my XLi's and was curious if anyone has ever run across this before and is so, what you did about it.
