  • Crossfire lane machine computer

I'm having some issues with the computer for my 6 pad crossfire lane machine. About a year ago, all the information stored on the computer was lossed(program settings, cleaner settings, duster settings, ect.). All the information had to be re-entered manually, and all seemed ok. However, a couple months ago, i realized that if i am to change the settings on program one, for instance, once i turn the machine off and back on, the machine will run the program as program 0. Any further changes i want to make must be made under program 1, but again once the machine is turned off, the next time it is used it will run the program as program 0. If i make changes to program 0, the changes will show on the display, but will not change the behavior of the machine. Now i have realized that the duster cloth has been changed much more often than before, i've changed it twice in the last month or so. I do "tell" the computer than i have changed the duster cloth in order to go back to the 9 tenths of a second unwind time recommended for a new roll. I believe that the computer is not actually making this change either, even though it says it is. So in essence, it seems that the computer is not saving settings as it should anymore. I am able to get around the program issue by making sure i change it on program 1 and not program 0. However the duster unwind issue i dont think i can get around unfortunately. Anyway, i was wondering if any crossfire users have seen this issue before and if there is a possible fix for this besides changing out the computer?

When you had the problem before did you change the battery in your Twido Processor? Depends which model Twido you have. Model A is software 3.X and I do not think has a battery. Model B is Software 4.X and does (Kegel can confirm this). If it is a model B it may be that the battery is getting low and you are not holding settings.

Both Twidos have a factory reset facility, which may sort you out. Failing that you may just need a program chip to reload.

I suggest you give Kegel a call and they can talk you through what needs to be done.
