Judge lane cleaner and neoprene tubing

I had a long run of over a year with the last neoprene tubing I put in the lane machine while I was using Judge lane cleaner. I replaced this tubing about 3 months ago, and it swelled up and split and was leaking about 2 weeks ago.

what gives? I heard that judge doesn't work well with perastaltic pumps with neoprene tubing, but I did not experience any adverse affects until now....i had always thought that it was because my dillution ratio was pretty high at 10:1, that maybe this was the reason that my neoprene tubing was not affected(i like this cleaner a lot, my lanes get clean and backends hook a lot even at 10:1). But my dillution ratio has not changed, but my tubing failed quickly and it got swelled up in a way that i don't ever remeber seeing happen with any other cleaner.

I would thing the stronger mix has attacked the neoprene hose.

I would try Defense C....or Defense CX concentrate....which cleans well and will work with the neoprene tube.

I recommend switching to CX4S for strong backends.

I have used Judge for over 2 years at 8:1 and not had any problems with the tube.

maybe it was just a bad piece of tubing. Stick with Judge and replace the tubing, then see if you see a trend. Document everything and this can help you if warranty claims come up.

I am not a fan of any of the concentrate cleaners. Aside from the reduced shipping cost, I don't see an advantage.
