  • Oil Head Stuck at 10 Pin Side

My Kustodian oil head gets stuck on the 10 pin side all the way at the end of travel. What is wrong? It clears up after a while and hasn't done it for a while. Just curious as to what may be failing.

Don't remember if the Kustodian has them, but sounds as if you may have a head sensor going bad.
You don't have to be crazy to do this job...But it helps!

Replace the 2 white tower relays on the left. Those are your left-to-right and right-to-left relays. It's pretty common for the points to get stuck.

Are they the 110VAC relays on the left side? Thought they were for forward and reverse drive.

Nope still gets stuck on 10 pin side of machine. Noticed one of the contacts on the white piece I removed had a corroded point. Couldn't remove green section of relay because of a bar holding them all down.

unbolt the din rail (the bar) and slide the green base off. You will need to unbolt and remove the panel from the machine. You will not need to unplug any of the harnesses.

Thanks. Turned out the PLC got nailed. Ordered same after talking to Kegel tech support. Wierd buffer kept going up and down after correcting wiring to tower relays.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
