  • Kustodian LDS Question

Just how loose is the chain supposed to be? Ours looks like we could remove a link and it would be fine. This question stems from the fact that on the return when it gets to the foul line it does not stop in the same place every time. Normal?

I'd hate to think we got a sensor going insane.

    Thanks in advance.

have you been cleaning your momentary wheels thoroughly? if you have and the machine isn't slipping then go down and watch how far the machine is traveling forward. If the LDS is on the way out logic dictates, you would have inconsistent forward subtract distances too.
When you know what to do, everything is easy.

The chain is normally quite loose, along as your travel distances are consistent; I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Fellows! I'll double check my forward and reverse distances. The loose chain caught my eye as a problem, but then it isn't under a load, so loose makes sense. I just don't want to have to pull this monster out of a pit. 8o)
