With my kustodan+ brush machine my 2 board keeps coming out a little low at 2.5 unites on both L and R sides
At 37ft.(42' pattern) Thats with running 2 2-2 loads at the start of the pattern running at 40 micros.
What is surprising is 3 and 4 boards are over 5 unites, So why is 2 board so low?
This is not a problem now but will be when USBC comes in to check the lanes for the new season.
With 5 units on 3 and 4 board going 3 loads 2-2 would just create an OB.
I'm thinking some how the transfer brush has become clogged but how do i unclog it?
Maybe some 80grit sand paper?
??? Doesn't the tape machine give the readout for 3-3 anyway because that is the way all KOSI imaging is shown?
If this is not the case can one 2-2 be applied immediately and the second 2-2 be applied at say 6' or 8' to get it down the lane and keep the same shot?

Good idea keeth,
For now going with 3 loads 2-2 and will see what happens
If it creates too much of an OB then it maybe time for a new brush i'm afraid.
It is important to keep your transfer brush clean. I blow mine out with the air compressor 3 times a week during the bowling season. Tom Schemm sells a cleaning brush for this purpose (not sure how it works though). How old is your transfer brush? I think the consensus of opinion with the guys on Bowl-Tech is to change your transfer brush every other time you change your buffer brush.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
You could also run an extra 2-2 on your last load on the reverse pass it should burn most of the oil off in the heads but leave a little so when you go to the next lane the outside of the buffer are not as dry. Still keep an eye on the out of bounds.
For Sale, Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.
Check your head timing adjustment as well as your pencil tip height adjustment.sounds like your loads might be off set.

If dirt builds up on the transfer brush, which it will on the outside, you will have less oil on the outside boards versus the inner boards. Keeping the brush clean on those outside few boards is mandatory. The brush Schemm sells is a great tool. I own one and use it every day. I concentrate on the outer 5 boards as this is where I have found most of the dirt buildup. If you have a transfer brush in your machine...I recommend the brush to help keep the brush clean.
Just my opinion...

Thanks Steve for the info on this cleaning brush as I was curious about how well it worked and if it was worth buying.

Good morning, I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
Working...
