Magnum Struggles to reach end of lane, any suggestions
Hey, the magnum silver bullet we use struggles to make it the last few feet on the lane, have to push it onto the pin deck which is fun, it has no problem getting up and down the lane but seems to get tired the last few feet. Any suggestions?Tags: None

If the cleaner pad is lifting in the pin deck wouldn't that actually reduce the drag of the machine? It sounds like the cleaning solution is set too low. The pad and squeegees are running dry, that would certainly cause the machine to bog down at the end of the lane, even with the cleaner pad distance set to 63 ft. The magnum silver bullet came stock with a drip tray system. The cleaner reservoir is pressurized and forced out of the tank when the kip valves open. The most common problem with the system, besides routine adjustment, is the kip valves. The easiest way to check them is to watch the machine run with the cleaner section lid open. If one of the valves is bad cleaner will not flow to one side of the machine. If both sides have cleaner then the tank pressure may not be high enough, or their may be a clog in the lines somewhere.

someone sorted the problem, was a combination of excessive pad and squeege preassure, faulty kip valve, motor bushes being worn. Changed valve, manual pre-soak every so often and motor bushes replaced plus ramping the drive motor speed up to warp speed has solved the problem, cheers for the help guys

Just for fun, I'd place a straight edge (4' level) in front of the pin deck, laid with the lane - move it toward the end of the lane and back toward the foul line while looking under it's edge, and make sure there isn't a bad dip or hump that makes those pressures more tedious to adjust..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
