  • New House Pattern

    G'day Guys & Gals,

I have just taken over duties at a diff centre and had a look at our house shot, i believe it is one of the originals that came with the machine so i wont even post it, am looking for a high scoring shot that has a bit of room for error. The centre is located up the street from the beach, and at times the humidity is ridiculous (even with humidity control operating)

I have a Kegel Kustodian (9A) with transfer roller, running 45uL, Brunswick Pro Anvilane, Defence-S conditioner, Fizzion Cleaner.

If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers,
    MICK

Even though the pattern was an original, post it here and tell Jerry what it is doing or not doing. It will get tweeked but he really needs something to start with.

        Re: New House Pattern

        ok pattern is as follows:
        39'
        2-2-3-18
        9-9-1-18
        10-10-2-22
        11-11-3-22
        13-13-2-30
        2-2-0-26 - 31-39

        2-2-0-26 - 39-33
        13-13-1-30
        12-12-1-22
        11-11-2-22
        10-10-2-22
        10-10-3-22
        2-2-0-14 - 4-0

I Should probably mention, that when i took over here, the kk wasnt cleaning outside 5 on either side very well due to the original duster roller being chewed up on the outside, also had the original squeegy blades still on it too.. have since replaced duster roller, blades, and have adjusted machine correctly. Backends are now very crisp. from what i can gather, instead of adjustments and replaceing worn parts, my predesessor just shortened the length of the pattern and dryed up the outside to promote turn.

Now though, Anyone tossing a decent ball with heaps of revs cant stay on the lane.

Any Help here would be great,
        Cheers,

        Mick

I'm gonna take a stab at reading Jerry's mind on this one.

Your pattern in too narrow, you have very little conditioner in the ball track. He will also say to get rid of the 13-13, wasted dressing in that area.

Here is what I think Jerry will say.

          40'
          2-2-2-18
          7-7-2-18
          9-9-2-18
          10-10-3-22
          11-11-2-26
          2-2-0-30 31-40

          2-2-0-30 - 40-33
          12-12-2-22
          11-11-2-22
          10-10-3-22
          9-9-1-18
          2-2-0-14 - 4-0

Just wanting to check my lane maintenance brain against the best in the biz.

          Jerry?

Good luck and please let us know how it plays.

Feedback could result in someone else with the same surface / machine / oil in being able to utilize this pattern.

                    Re: New House Pattern

                    Update,

Altough alot of my bowlers are easy to please, after laying this pattern down, i think EVERYONE is happy, the consistant bowlers were shooting 20-30pins above ave. During 4 man teams, first 2 games holds up great, outside understandably drys up a bit during 3rd game, but 2-3 board adjustment fixes that.
Can play loads of different lines with different types of balls and layouts with plenty of room for error for the not so consistant bowlers, And my youth/juniors even seemed to bowl a lil better on it.

All in all a great pattern

Thanks so much for your help guys,

                    Mick
