In my opinion, the residue from some cleaners can leave a film that actually makes the backends soft (especially after a period of time elapses). We normally think of cleaner residue as being responsible for more hook on the backs, and I think that is true in some cases, but, I think that the opposite can be true. It's just another variable that we have to deal with!

Also your cleaner mix is best tested on your busiest day - on days you are not busy most mixes clean well
I do not think that 1.5 cups is sufficient
