  • Need help creating or modifying this years League pattern.

For the past 2 years we have been using NCAA #1. The reason was because we got a new machine, upgraded from the Phoenix 8 pad to a Phoenix-S Mod B. The old house pattern was extremely close to NCAA #1, so I just started to use that. Now regardless of pattern, we have only had 2x300 games in the past 4 years. Low lineage house except for during the school year.

    KOSIPro
    Phoenix-S Mod B
    HPL-9000 (3-6 y/o wear)
    JayClean
    Brunswick Control

Our Women's Coach has suggested that I put out a pattern that is thick in middle and dry on the outside. I pulled Easy Street off of Kegels Rec. Patterns. I am not a fan, but that is probably just because I am used to bowling on sport patterns. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to toss out there? I am going to talk one of our League Pres. and Secs. To come in and bowl one day on a few different patterns (they work on Campus so it isn't that big of a deal for them to walk a couple buildings over and check it out).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

EDIT: I have KOSIPro, but for some reason the Pattern Wizard app is not being loaded anymore. No clue what happened to it, but that was kind of neat, if anyone knows how to get that feature back up (called Kegel and one of the techs said it should still be there, I'd rather not re-install, but I may have to. Also can't update, we keep these computers off of the Universities network and off of the internet as much as possible.)

Check you pump - and set it to 50mic stream - 20ml for the calibration test

    9-9 2 18
    10-10 3 18
    11-11 3 18
    12-12 1 18

    2-2 0 30 42-29'

I was under the impression that changing the pump output from 40mic to 50mic wouldn't do very well on this machine. Because it still won't recreate how the newer machines work because we have a transfer roller instead of a transfer brush. Putting that into KOSI right now. Did you mean in KOSI, change it from 40mic to 50mic in the advanced classic pattern designer?

EDIT: Just bowled a game on that and it is a much better option for us over any of the Kegel Rec. patterns. I put out Easy Street and Main Street out today and just put this on a pair and was easier to score on for me (using a strong layout Motiv Recon).

I am only getting 16.56mL for total, but that is just because of my pump being set for 40mic. I may doctor this pattern in KOSI to add 2 or 3 more loads of oil to get it closer to 20.7mL but also keep track zone ratios within ~.10 or so.
