  • Possible tweak to my pattern?

I was looking for some advice on my pattern. It is a fairly high scoring pattern but looking to improve it. 7 year old Prolane. I have an Ion with brush. Infinity oil and use Defense/c mixed 4.5 to 1. This Prolane tends to hook more than most Prolane surfaces I have bowled on. The pattern starts out great but sometimes gets a little over under the second game.By the third game they seem to play fine again. Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to cut it back to 42 ft seems to hook way too much off the end of the pattern.

43 feet Drop brush in reverse: 35 feet

    2-2x1 10
    7-7x1 14
    8-8x1 14
    10-10x2 14
    11-11x2 14
    13-13x3 18
    15-15x3 22
    2-2x0 26 28-43ft

    Reverse
    2-2 x0 30 43-35
    13-13x4 18
    11-11x4 18
    10-10x3 14
    8-8x2 10
    2-2x0 10

    2-2 2 18
    8-8 1 18
    9-9 1 18
    10-10 3 18
    12-12 3 18
    2-2 0 22 22-43'

    2-2 0 30 43-30'
    12-12 2 22
    11-11 4 18
    9-9 2 14
    2-2 0 14 10-0'

I would like to see you try this at 42' and 43' - then choose which distance is best

Let me know how it plays

I tried the pattern at 43' and was great. Plenty of hook right and good hold in the middle. Not sure on the durability yet. I have good leagues bowling on Monday and Tuesday next week and will report back with what I find.
Thanks again for your help! It is really appreciated!

Take a good look at ball reaction of different bowlers styles - do not make any snap decisions on tweaking

Pattern seemed to get a little squirrley the 2nd and third game both nights. Could maybe use a little more hook on the outside and a touch more in the middle. If I go to 42' use the same numbers? I'm worried about too much overall hook....

Pattern is great! Good ball reaction from all types of bowlers. There was a 300 last night! Many scores over 700. I will be leaving this out for a while to see how they play. Thanks for all your help!

Awesome - let the bowlers who are struggling adjust to it

If you strip twice a day I would use 6-1
If you strip once per day I would use 5-1

The only way to have anything consistent is to get the lane clean
