Need a little help with pattern if anyone can help. AMF Silver bullet magnum, infinity oil denfense C cleaner 6:1 ratio high flow wicks on all 6 tanks. I know I am not supposed to be able to use infinity oil with a wick machine but it works for me, I keep machine in a controlled temp environment. I play over the middle of the lane and have great results 708 and 684 last two league nights but I have a lot of other bowlers who play down and in with aggressive equipment. Scores haven't been bad but I think the shot could be easier as well (we all know that bowlers want that easy shot for high averages)

    Pattern
    transfer rates P1F 60% P1R 75% P2F 100% P2R 100%

    Buff P1F 44ft P2F 33ft

    tank configuration 7,3,10,10,3,7

    outside, track middle

    P1F 6ft, 26ft, 39ft, 39ft, 26ft,6ft
    p1R 0ft, 22ft, 35ft, 35ft, 22ft, 0ft
    p2F 0ft, 16ft, 29ft, 29ft, 16ft, 0ft
    P2R 3ft, 12ft, 22ft, 22ft, 12ft, 3ft

Speeds are low on every run, I wait 2minutes between each lane to allow wicks to soak back up, also I take the tank plugs out of the center tanks to allow better air flow

Anyone have any thoughts? Lanes were resurface early september

are they tight for the down and in players? Looks like a lot in the track... if so try just moving your buff on p1R to 40ft, it will open up the end of the pattern a bit.

1st thing is down and in bowlers cannot use aggressive equipment

You oil the lanes for all bowlers

They need to adjust their ball selection accordingly

It is actually not that they aren't hitting the pocket or coming close every time, trying to get some better carry fo everyone, a lot of 10 pins and 7 pins some 8-10 splits and some pocket 7-10 splits, the guys with a good roll and good drive have been carrying well. Didn't know if there was a tweek to the pattern that may help the people without as much (hand) in the ball

If the ball slides too far - the ball will hit the pocket - it will hit the pins weak

Back up your pattern distance another foot and see what happens

                    P1F 6ft, 22ft, 33ft, 33ft, 22ft,6ft
                    p1R 0ft, 22ft, 30ft, 30ft, 22ft, 0ft
                    p2F 0ft, 16ft, 25ft, 25ft, 16ft, 0ft
                    P2R 3ft, 12ft, 20ft, 20ft, 12ft, 3ft

If 41/42 is too short - try taking some out of the middle - I tweaked the above

Taking some out of the middle and track is probly the way to go. There isn't much taper with your original post and most likely what is killing pin carry.

I tried the pattern above with the buff set at p1F 42ft p1R 40ft p2F 33ft p2r 22ft plays pretty tight the first two games then opens up a bit the third game, I mean tight as no room for error does the buffer brush settings need to change?

Here is what I did tonight

                            buff P1F 42ft, P1R 35ft, P2F 33ft, P2R ,22ft

Played great a lot of people over average.

                            Thank King
