    lane condition's

    with all the bowler's that like to whine and whine,because they can't stand in the same spot week after week,I think we should change the shot every week,then mabe they would learn how to bowl.these people crack me up they come in with 6,8,10 balls and still bitch and whine,and it's never there fault when they don't bowl fer +hit.I think one week we should run the oil down 50 feet then the next 25 feet,or oil 15 to 45,and leave the heads dry! I don't bowl anymore but I'D like to see some of the whiner's bowl accross 8,10,12 lanes in pot games and all the lanes being different.I used to bowl pot games like that back in the 70's,and I averaged 180's and 90's and didn't complain about the lanes.when is it going to come to the end?? let the whiner's learn how to bowl.

            Sorry I didn't read your whole post before I responded. I got as far as whiners and posted my reply. Now that I've read it all, I have to admit that, (not on purpose) I have personally run 60 feet of oil gutter gutter for our Friday Classic League. I left the solenoid wires off the pads on our Phoenix and ran all 30 lanes. Needless to say I stayed in the back till the rock n bowl was in full swing and all the league bowlers were gone. I have heard I'm not the only one who has done this, come on guys fess up.

              GM--did they like the 60 feet of oil I hope so.they have all these oil sucking balls now and with most being right hander's and most using the same line how do they expect the oil to hold up.if there were ball return's that would handle the oil I would put so much oil they would get a rooster tail behind there ball,mabe about 500 units or so,then I guess they would go buy so more balls.I think oiling the lanes different every week would give alot of them a new challenge.and then alot more whinning for some,I guess alot of them don't like a challenge any more.what's next remote control balls?? just my thoughts crud!!

                oh by the way how do they get the oil out of the oil sucking balls is there a drain plug ?
                what do golfer's do when the wind starts blowing do they adjust or whine. [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img]

                  Wow, you've got some serious anger goin on. Take some advice and just say "IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER" about ten times. The truth of the matter is no matter what you do someone or a bunch of someones is going to cry. You can't please everybody, so don't pull your hair out trying.(Look at Ed, he tried to please them all and now has no hair)

                    just put a good pattern out there and act like you don't know who does the lanes

                    lane conditions bring in bowlers...keep dicking with the lanes and people bowl like crap ...they will find another house to bowl in ...I know many people that will drive an hour for a better avg...and a better chance fer the "300"

                    but then ...thats up to you....

                        Ever try education? I'm not talking about telling SO n' So "The shots up ten" I mean real live information about what it takes to throw one good shot. Everything from mechanics,lane play,ball motion and even the mental side of it.
                        It has worked wonders for me in the past. The only reason they "bitch" is because they don't understand. Your probably the only person in the center that's on their side. The proshop nor the people that are taking their bracket money every week aren't going to inform them. (half the time they don't have a clue themselves)
                        Find,write,copy and then post lots of REAL bowling information in your center. Do what you have to do to inform them. Answer their questions even watch a few shots and tell them what's wrong.
                        It's obvious your not going to fix a lot of crazy looking bowling styles. If you let them know that you know what your talking about and you also let them know that this game is freaking hard to be good at you'll gain a bit of respect and they may lay off of the whole lane condition thing.
                        It's worked for me.

                          Send the whiner's over to our house and let 'em bowl. We got Murrey Pathfinder lanes that are peeling up at the 1st and 2nd seams.
                          After they throw a few and watch their ball jump 6 inches in the air they'll go back to your place and never bitch again.

                            Suggest you contact Robert after 8AM PST Monday for tech help and product support on your Pathfinder Lanes. We know there are delamination problems with that old system however we still support it. There are panel replacements,relaminating procedures and joint epoxies available.                               poplarpetey-I have seen what the pathfinders look like when they start coming apart and they don't look very good anymore,mabe with GORDEN running the show now maybe he can help you cure your problems.good luck
