Alan, What kind of finish, you might call it laquer,do you currently have on your lanes? Some finishes are not compatible on top of each other. My guess is water-based finish, but it's only a guess because it's popular in the UK.
You'll need a "multipurpose applicator" and a rotary buffing machine (not a floor polisher) but a buffing machine that is slow speed and high torque, strong enough to turn sanding screen.
Let us know on the finish.Cliff Adair

buffer, sanding screen disks(i use 1 every 4 lanes), applicator, finish(we use Polychem 309HS), wax paper, masking tape.. those are the obvious things anyway lol... after you buff the lanes you have to clean up the dust. dust mops(1 dry/1 damp) n a damp floor mop work good. when i pull the finish i lay a big piece of cardboard down on the approach to work off of so i don't mess up the approachn make sure i have plenty of rags n trash cans ready, open all the doors n run exhaust fans

Alan, You'll want to recoat with water based if you already have water base. Using QubicaAMF product (can't speak for the other manufacturers) you will use 5 gallons of product for every 9-10 lanes. So, you'll have to order three 5 gallon buckets of finish for 24 lanes. Don't forget to order Activator to go with it, as it is a 2 part mixture, and an applicator board designed for water-based finish. We recommend screening with 100 grit screen.
Just like painting, preparation and a clean surface are key to a good job. Make sure you clean your lanes several times, and then clean your lanes with water only to remove any cleaner residue. Then let them thoroughly dry.
Contact our UK office if you need part numbers, etc. we stock this product in Holland.
Good Luck,Cliff Adair

Here's one list I use: (no patching, just injecting spots/chips etc)
¨ Drill andcharger
¨ 2 - 7/64bits
¨ Epoxy,tips, gun
¨ Chisel
¨ Hammer
¨ Towels
¨ Stripper
¨ Broom
¨ Screens
¨ Rotaryand drive pad
¨ Cord forrotary
¨ 42” Dustmop
¨ Paper/tape/dispenser
¨ Pour can
¨ Finish
¨ Applicator/refill/handle
¨ Applicatorpan
¨ Gloves
I'd only use wax paper with waterbased or 100% solids finishes. Use masking paper, or freezer paper to prevent oil modifieds from soaking through. With glow finish, I'd place double layered masking paper. Only need 1 layer with freezer paper..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
