Error with computer lane monitor

Our center just got a new brunswick computer lane monitor. I installed the software on my laptop. When i plug in the reader, i get an error that says usb device not recognized and the software says no tape reader detected. I been through the help files but they have not been updated with the usb connection. My laptop run windows xp with service pack 3, and i am using the usb cable to connect to the reader. Any help with this issue would be most helpful. Thank you.

If it is a new reader...contact Brunswick as they will have the answer for you.

Usually when installing the software, the first thing it tries to do is install the USB drivers. It is easy to click off of that and go right to the software installation. In your case, it sounds like you need the drivers. I would uninstall and reinstall.

Search for brunswick bulletin ceb02-2 dated 6/6/02. This will give you the instructions on setting up the usb side of your computer to make it work.
