  • Lane Mapping

I know Kegel offers this service. Our center is just over 4 years old and I am wondering if there has been any settling going on. We are a Brunswick ProLane installation with their standard truss and PSL foundation.

Have any of you used this service and what was your experience?

Have you looked at the USBC inspection form from when they measured the lanes last?

Do you have any lanes that play bad?

only problem with the usbc inspection King is they only check 3 spots on the lane. Kegel's road trip seminars with storm really hit home on topography and usbc only checking "spots" on each lane.

Yes we have some pairs that play tough and others where the bowlers shoot lights out! I also agree with inthepits that the USBC only measures 3 points on the lane which really doesn't tell you much.

I think the good and bad pairs depends on the equipment and ability on that pair. 7-8 winders will destroy it, and 2 urathanes will make for bad carry.(again most know this, but this doesn't meen that your lanes are different and need maintenance)

I'm trying to compare apples to apples, comparing bowlers averages on each pair of lanes to determine which pairs score tough and which are easier.

Well - since changing oil - I have noticed my pairs play much closer

              I have Prolane

              What oil/cleaner are you using

My pairs also score higher when I run the Phoenix S vs. the Walker

I understand, but with the weather changes and the different match-ups you will find so many variables, not to come up with much solid understanding. I have a bad pair (supposidly) but some leagues kill the pair. Ask the King if it can be perfectly understood.

King, you type faster LOL. I have used the smoothing block mod from Jbing and it has been awsome.(easy) this makes my machine like your double roller. (best ever) We have a ton of scores since. I can't pin point it to one thing because I changed to Connect this year and there has been more winter and the block mod and the oil was sh$tty for awhile. ??? welcome to our world.

I would try Logic and Invincible at 6-1

You will not have those pairs where there is poor scoring

On our next to worst pair I went front 23 solid 9 Thursday night

King, you need to work on your carry not the shot. LOL We had city team qualifing inside our leagues this month, last night my team had 805,781,me 759, 430, and 395. We had quite the laugh with this.

Thanks for the tip King. I don't think I am going to change oil and cleaner with 8 weeks left in the season, but we'll give it a try this summer. When we get ready to switch I'll ask for your Walker program.

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....
