  • Spongebob Pineapple Arcade - Andamiro Tokens

We have one of these, it is a coin pusher style machine. It's a real pain to keep running smoothly, but it is one of our top money makers. I'm going through the factory setup on it in preparation for our reopening and found that the machine is short about 450 tokens. The documentation says to only use Andamiro's OEM tokens in the machine. I have measured them with a caliper and they are about 0.010" thicker and a different diameter than our old arcade tokens that we still have piles of. The Andamiro tokens are also quite expensive! The machine has two stations, each one requires 1200 tokens in circulation to operate properly.

Does anyone have any experience running non-OEM tokens through these kind of machines? I imagine the tolerances on the coin hoppers and feeding mechanisms are all set for the Andamiro ones.

With as many things that can go wrong in a coin pusher and with how much they stand to make, I would recommend just using the OEM coins.

Not sure what price you were getting but this is not a bad price from Betson.

It would be cheaper to use Quarters if they fit! We'd been closed for over a year, management wants to run just one side of Spongebob for now til business picks up, so that's that.
