  • Video board - Qubica?

There's something in my workshop that's really starting to get to me. There's a pcb covered in potentiometers with attchments for a crt tube sitting in a box in a corner.

On the board that would attach to the cathode there's a green warning sign written in something like spanish {alta tensione}.

Would it be a recapping kit or something for our VDB displays? I think we got the monitors during the Qubica installation.

If it's just off of some old videogame then it's destined for the bin.

I believe the warning is for high voltage.
You may be looking at a CRT analyzer or a convergence/focusing pattern generator.
There will be a heavily insulated wire that is the Anode lead you hook to the hole in the top of the CRT.
I never saw one during our Qubica installs.

      Hi Ted.

Although the pots are all internal and at weird angles {you'd need a screwdriver to set them} you might be onto something there.

I guess I'd be best throwing it into a spark and getting his take on it in case it's something entertaining or useful.

Could you get a pic of it to post?

Sorry, still waiting on a mate lending me his digital camera.

I'll post a pic of the offending object before the weekend.
