  • Kickback Plates

Does anyone know a good method of removing old kickback plates ?? and know the size nail that goes with replacing them?? Please help.

depends on what kind it is. Ted's knowledge is far superior to mine but there are 3 different materials, and he knows them all. Assuming you are talking about the panels on the wood kickbacks?
When you know what to do, everything is easy.

I used a chisel to get a corner up , then a flat pry bar . Only one problem u mite have, that somebody has glued them on . I also make sure all nails are out , and make sure u fill and sand smooth holes . The nails are about 1 1/8 long and they twisted they go in real easy. call ace mitchell they have them or hoge lumber they still sell them and patch stock apparently they have stopped sellin kickback plates.
