The boss asked me today to try to find an alternative in the way of a Mod to replace the Fustat Fuses in our SurePik Ball Returns
As we are in Australia and these things are a bit hard to get hold of and quite costly
This raises some questions
1 Has anyone replaced them with an alternative
2 Why where they used in the first place (they sit beside a 3ag fuse and holder
Fustat protects the belt Motor the 3ag protects the hand drier blower)
Was thinking about some sort of reset type setup (simular to what they use in aircaft) bearing in mind we are running a 240 Volt system
I want to just put in a household C/B but room is an issue
I have heard of fustat fuses that are modified similar to breakers where they can be reset. With the technology these days its not surprising. The basic of the fustat was the early days of over-current protection on the edison based electrical system. They were sized differently so you couldn't put a larger size fuse on a smaller designed circuit. There are adapters available to up-size or down-size and they are even modified to be temporary or permanent. I wouldn't recommend these unless you are comfortable with electrical design or the protected circuit in question. Switching over to a newer breaker is a great idea and taking in mind that the circuit is a motor load which could be slightly over-sized or slo-blo/thermal protection I like PJ's choice as well.
Failed safety course.Question #1:In case of fire what steps do you take? Apparently 'Friggin long ones!" is the wrong answer.
Good morning, I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
