  • Ball Lift

    Put brand new d bore bearing and shaft in lower. Tightened everything up put in lane I have a clacking sound. I mean it works fine but have a clack sound and its driving me nuts back here. What am i missing. Thanks

    Make sure you have all 4 of your spacers in there. Any side to side play of either drive pulley could cause that noise. Could also be a bad new bearing too. I've had that happen on a few occasions.

        FIXED finally completely rebuilt for the third time . Just kinda sucks put 2 new bearings in thinking there brand new never opened in bag and that was problem. Put 2 different ones in sounds great.

          Don't get me started on bearings. I just rebuilt a couple of Power Lift clutches for our ball returns. The first bearing was smooth as silk. The second one...ka-chunk, ka-chunk...same bag, supposedly new parts, ugh.

            The "clacking sound" can sometimes be caused by one or both of the outer flanged lock nuts loosening up. Allowing the D-shaft to walk around inside the inner races of the bearings.
