  • Silver chassis 82/90

Hello guys, I have a silver chassis that doesn’t cycle when the ball passes the detector, and I have one that won’t stop cycling. It moves with the chassis. Does anyone have any information about these issues ? Thank you in advance.

Check the cable from the front end control box back to the chassis.

I have checked them, but the problems travel with the chassis.

If the problem moves with the chassis, you probably need to call QAMF and ask if they have any reconditioned silver 90XL chassis in stock. Last time we ordered some, they were just under $700 with core exchange. 90 day warranty. Front end boxes were around $250 with core exchange I think.

Thank you, I was hoping someone knew what needed to be replaced.

Jon Severt works on those chassis as well.

We recently had to order two from QAMF and it took a while because their main repair tech has been out. They actually asked us to send our bad ones in ahead so they could at least look at them and . Luckily they'd received a batch from a center that did an machine upgrade and could send us a couple. Not sure what their status is now though.

The Silver Chassis has a continuous cycle mode. Sounds like one of them is stuck in that mode but the only way to know is if there's a long delay between when the sweep gets to first guard and the table start to feel for pins.

              .

Thanks for responding; I thought of that but these cycle only manually, not by the detector.

Could be as simple as a broken wire inside the chassis? Just guessing here because I haven't had that issue.
