Trip rocker arm
What causes the trip rocker arm to not line up with the trip rod? Carriage tubing is not bent and all eccentrics are brand new.

From the photo angle the weldment is bent. You’ll need to bend it to get the roller above the trip arm.
some things are just thrown in to test us unfortunately

Yeah... totally... sometimes it can get buckled due to pin damage from a mis feed / pile up, for example... on the rare occasion the push washer could have off from the opposite end of the rod... but very rare occurance....
Check that your rollers are adjusted correctly and the carridge is parallel with trip rod.
Best just to give it full inspection and bend it back into shape. You can do it in the vice with some wood, or just get in there with some channel grips / plyers.Bring me the freshest "Mean Green" known to man! Juice on!

Well, I had some extra me time on my hands so I decided to trim off about ¼ inch of the carriage so the rocker arm would be positioned a little better. The rocker arm weldment itself is not bent at all. Is it possible the front carriage support or the support tube is slightly bent? I've never seen one out of alignment as bad as this one was. Just got done rebuilding this one - all new bearings. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

A couple of things you could do here......
1) You can shim behind the trip rod support bracket in back and kick it out. It depends though on how close the stop blades come to the clutch plate.
2) The other is shim behind the back two carriage guide rollers.
Whatever you do the carriage tube and trip rod need to be parallel to each other while looking at them from the top and the side. In your first photo it looks like the carriage and trip rod are not in parallel.-- Larry
