          Re: check this jam...

Pie, did the ball get wedged there pushing the table towards the 7 pin side? Reason I ask is it looks like cups and shuttle are way off, but then again it may be the angle.

About 23 years ago I had a ball(gold AMF Angle)that was in the table. Talk about a table jam.
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, use a bowling pin.

            Wow.... thats some stop.
The bin/table alignment does look horrific in the picture, but again it is shot at an angle, and also the upper yoke looks like its built the opposite way round too!
Apart from that...... how on earth did the ball get there!?

Worn ball-lift bushings and tilted ball-lifts can cause this.
                So it goes.

                        Ever seen that before!
But the thing of which I think, the ball ejected by belt of Ball Lift at the time of phase rise.

                          Re: check this jam...

Good one. I once found a 14lb. ball on the table between the 2 & 4 cells. Early OT board with "early" sweep up. Jackass hit the table while it was down. Just broke off a small piece on the front of the table (which is a clue that the pinpotter once had a SS chassis for those who have ever wondered about that and how it happened). I QUICKLY changed the board to one that didn't do that. Funny but there were no jams, before I saw this big orange thing on the table as I was walking by.

LOL I've seen this happen... 3 times... ball lift was centered and working fine. What happened was one ball went into the return, started to spin on the oil-soaked ball return rails, and slid back down. A 2nd ball was behind it on its way up... the two of them were stuck in the center pushing against each other.... convex orange AMF belt was oil soaked and pushed it over to the side.... WOuldnt have believed it if I didnt see it with my own eyes. Reason I caught it was because the same machine had 3 balls end up in the pinwheel that very night! LOL
