Howdy guys,
Does anyone know whether or not you HAVE to use high temp Viton oil seals on the XLi B/E gearbox? those are the seals that come with the seal kit,(#610-088-101) which is $104, but after pricing today at our local bearing supplier he can supply me all seals and 2 expansion plugs for $40, the seals though are standard low temp rubber seals. I could understand using a hih temp Viton seal on the input shaft due to the high RPM but the other 3 shafts are slow and wouldn't get that hot. So can people let me know if it is ok or not to use standard rubber seals on the shafts?
Cheers in advance....
