  • Help!! sweep problem

Have a problem with sweep not running, i moved table plug over and the sweep motor runs. i know its a problem on the machine side and not chasis. i looked through c-1 plug and thats fine. the capacitors are good. i put a new plug and cord on the sweep side that didn't fix the problem. new sweep run and sweep reverse switch on the control box didint help. Cleaned out the chanel with the shop vac didnt help. I'm sure its something I'm overlooking . Need help badly!!

Does the sweep hum or is it just dead through it's own cord?

I know you said chassis is fine but M2 will cause this.

How about the pins on the M2 any burnt? You can also have a peek-a-boo pin/socket in the C1 that wont let the motor choose direction of rotation so it just hums because it doesn't know which way to spin.

Looks like you haven't check your contactor in the chassis. What kind do you have? I would look at the contacts if it mechanical or swap it out if it is a bowltronic contactor.

If those prove to be all ok/not loose in the block/see if the sweep will run in reverse. If that dont work you can try swapping the caps 1 at a time with the table because those are proven good in service.

It is getting power so the contactor is good, cent switch is good or it wouldn't run by the table wire. It just dont know which way to turn or it is not getting the jolt from the caps in the sweep circuit.
